The beautiful simplicity of an empty frame
Decorating with frames is a great way to add architectural interest to a vignette.
I grouped three frames in different colors and sizes.
I started by layering the frames on top of one another and then mixed in other objects.
Frames are a great way to decorate on the cheap. You can find all kinds of frames at yard sales, Goodwill and flea markets. I purchased the white frame from Goodwill for a $1.00. The original color was gold. A simple coat of white paint and a little sanding gave it a new look.
By grouping frames you create a focal point that has an airy feel.
Farmhouse style meets ornate.
Frames work in a variety of interior design styles, whether it's traditional, modern, country, coastal..or unique.... in your own way. Don't be afraid to mix styles. Use objects that you love!!
Using empty frames affords you the opportunity to use your imagination...and is super easy to change the look.
What will you put behind your frame?
Let your imagination flow!!
Who would have thought that empty frames would be so great for decorating? It is a clever way to decorate, very clever!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteI love the open look of your display and the variety of texture and finishes! I buy second hand frames all the time. It may possibly be an addiction!

p.s. - found your blog on the Be Inspired link party.
The colors are wonderful - between the wall color and the frames it simply looks lovely! Thanks for sharing this decorative idea on your #simplybebetsy gallery!
